Position of the Month: The Lotus
Welcome to Position of the Month
Hello, lovers! I'm thrilled to launch this new series where we explore intimate connection in all its beautiful forms. Each month, I'll be sharing a position that's caught my attention - whether it's a classic reimagined or something deliciously new to try.
This month, we're starting with one of my personal favourites: The Lotus.
Why The Lotus?
There's something incredibly intimate about this position. It's not about acrobatics or performance - it's about closeness, eye contact, and that slow-burn connection that makes everything else fade away. Perfect for when you want to feel wrapped up in each other, literally.
How It Works
One partner sits cross-legged (think meditation pose, but make it sexy). The other straddles their lap, wrapping their legs around their partner's waist. Arms around each other, faces close, breathing in sync.
What I love most? The equality of it. You're face-to-face, chest-to-chest, moving together. No one's in charge - you're both leading this dance.
Tips for Making It Yours
- Set the mood: This position thrives on atmosphere. Dim lighting, your favourite playlist, maybe some candles. Create a space that feels like a sanctuary.
- Take your time: The Lotus isn't a race. Start with gentle rocking movements and let the rhythm build naturally.
- Use your hands: With your arms free, explore. Run your fingers through their hair, trace their spine, hold their face while you kiss.
- Comfort is key: Pop a pillow under the seated partner if needed. A little cushioning goes a long way.
The Vibe
This is your Sunday morning position. Your "we have nowhere to be" position. Your "I want to feel every inch of you" position. It's intimate, it's connected, and it's absolutely gorgeous.
Make It Even Better
Want to elevate the experience? Think about what engages all the senses. Soft textures, beautiful scents, the right ambiance. Sometimes the smallest details create the most memorable moments.
I'd love to hear how you make this position your own. What's your go-to move for deep connection? Drop a comment or send me a message—I'm always here for the conversation.
Until next month, lovers.
